Everyone is looking for something that satisfies. Some people look for satisfaction in a job, others look for satisfaction in a relationship, while others look for satisfaction in other things. Some find satisfaction but it seems to only last for a short period of time while others never seem to find true joy.
What if there was a way that we could be truly satisfied?
There is good news! There is a way that a person can find hope. A hope that never fades and a hope that truly satisfies. Jesus says in the Bible.. "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Jesus understood man's longing for hope and satisfaction and Jesus came to earth so that man could find true hope.
But here is the problem...
God personally and specifically created man in perfection, but man chose to reject God and forfeit the opportunity to have a relationship with God. Romans 3:23 says that "all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Since man chose to reject God by sinning, every single person is born separated from God... "as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans 5:12).
Here is the good news...
God loves us so much that He did not want mankind to remain separated from Him. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to be the sacrifice for our sins... "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23). Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sins by coming to earth, and dying on the cross for us so that we can restore our relationship with God and live eternally with Him in heaven... "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
So what can I do to restore my relationship with God?
Here is the thing.. there is nothing that we can do in our own strength and power to restore our relationship with God. Religion tells you to "do", Christ has already "done" what needed to be done to restore our relationship. The only thing that person must do is repent of their sin, trust in Christ as the only way to heaven, and call upon God to save them... "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)

All you have to do to receive Christ and restore your relationship with God is...
1. Admit that you are a sinner before God and repent and ask God to forgive you.
2. Believe that Christ died on the cross for your sins and that He is the only way to heaven.
3. Call upon God to save you.
That's it! Receiving the true Hope of Christ is that simple! But yet, so many fail to take that step because of disbelief or the thought that they must earn their way to heaven. God so desperately wants you that He was willing to send His only Son to die for you- talk about love! So what are you waiting for? God won't force Himself into your life, the decision is up to you.
